Drug Indication Immunization of children 6wks to 5yrs against invasive diseases caused by haemophilus influenza type B especially meningitis.
Precautions Allergic reactions, acute infection, febrile illness (delay use).
Side Effects Allergic reactions, headache, malaise, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, fever
Dosage Children aged 6wks: at 6th, 10th and 14th wks. Children aged 6-12months: one injection monthly for 2 consecutive months and booster dose 12 months later. Children aged 1-5yrs: one injection.
